The Daiken MDF operation in the South of New Zealand has been perfecting the art of making high quality medium density fibreboard since 1997, introducing our own melamine press on site in 2015 to service the finished panel market. The only fully integrated MDF to melamine operation in New Zealand, we use light, bright Southland pine as the perfect substrate for melamine overlay, providing high durability and scratch resistance in the finished product. Because our laminating plant is located metres from our MDF substrate production line, we are able to pass our cost efficiencies on to you and let our panel quality speak for itself.

Daiken Whiteboard is the mainstay of our melamine offering complemented our True Tones Black panels. We aim to provide you with a top quality furnishing finish, at a competitive price.

All our melamine panels are in 1220 x 2440 sizes, with our Whiteboard products available in 20 or 50 sheet pack lots, and our Black packs in 10 or 50 sheet lots. Whiteboard products are available in standard, moisture resistant and a lighter density substrate in a limited range of thicknesses, with True Tones Black available in 16mm and 18mm only.

Our Daiken Whiteboard products have met Environmental Choice New Zealand EC-32-14 standards since April 2015, with the ECNZ label being able to be viewed here. All of our melamine panels are manufactured as FSC® Mix wood source, which means you are purchasing a product containing wood sourced under responsible forest management from sustainably managed forests.
